Saihate Station

Saihate Station is a psychological horror game that takes place in a nite train stop. The player is stuck there and slowly loses touch with reality. The game does not use jump scares. Instead, it makes you feel nervous for a long time, making it hard to tell what you imagine and what you see. A look around Saihate Station

A Brief History of the Game: Saihate Station

Have you missed a train... or life?
Things start out pretty normally in the story. The last train of the day, a long day at work, and sleep that won't go away. The main character wakes up to find that they missed their stop and the train is empty. There were no sounds, people, or signs of life around. It's empty inside, and the doors aren't open. It looks like everything has stopped in a weird way.
It's just hard to understand at first. More deeply, there is a heavy silence that makes you feel like you shouldn't be there at all.

Something that can't be named and an old friend

You meet Tsunami by chance in that area. You and Tsunami used to be very close, but now you're not as close. His look saves lives and puts pressure on people who can't see him. The main character is lost and has a lot of doubts about himself, but Tsunami is always calm and sure of what he's doing.
That is different, and it makes the survival situation stand out. It also brings up bad thoughts that were already there. Being stuck on the ship starts to feel more like a test of how tough you are mentally than a mistake.

Things that only one person can see

Strange things begin to happen as the trip goes on. Unexpected puddles of blood and pictures and memories that seemed lost but were still very clear come back to life all of a sudden. It's not the things that scare Tsunami, but the fact that she doesn't always see them. Because of the difference between the two characters, the player always wonders, "Is what's happening real, or is it just a reflection of a broken mind?"

Tips and Hints

This is a simple puzzle and adventure game called Saihate Station. It's not about how hard it is. Not what it does, but how it makes you feel the whole time. Players can interact with each train car, pick up small things, and slowly move on to new places as they go thru them. Your main goal is to avoid getting hit by the enemy, run away, and try to figure out what's going on before things get too bad.

One thing that makes Saihate Station stand out is how it leaves story gaps. Nothing in the game makes sense about what happens.
