You must manage many survival mechanisms in order to survive a harsh night in the game. There are protective doors and hatches in your workplace, but using them uses up your limited energy. Energy and temperature must be carefully balanced; using the Heater keeps some enemies away, while allowing the chamber to overheat makes characters like Jack-O-Chica hostile. You must continuously switch between your surveillance systems—the camera monitor, the duct system, and the ventilation radar—in order to follow up to fifty specialised animatronics.
It takes quick reflexes and the use of keyboard and mouse shortcuts to survive this difficult task:
Doors and Vents: Side doors and vents may be quickly closed with the A-W-S-D keys.
Systems Management: To toggle electrical gadgets like the global music box or power generator, use keys 1 through 6.
Fan Control: To fast-switch the fan on or off and control the temperature, use the Space bar.
